In their bid to remake the world, Democrats are always surprised to find that their best laid plans are full of unintended consequences.
This time, the "splat" is on them.
Get a load of this Rasmussen poll from last Friday:
69% Oppose Plan To Have IRS Monitor Bank Transactions
More than two-thirds of voters are against plans in Congress to give the Internal Revenue Service access to data on all bank transactions over $600, and most believe Democrats are lying when they say they'll only raise taxes on the rich.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 69% of Likely U.S. Voters are opposed to legislation that would require banks to report data to the IRS on transactions over $600, including 55% who strongly oppose the measure. Only 23% support the proposal, which is part of the so-called "Build Back Better" agenda Democrats are attempting to push through Congress. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Well, gee. That kind of puts a monkey wrench into their grand plans to remake the entire American economy through their $3.5-trillion porkulus "reconciliation" bill, which they are still trying to shove through Congress. The bill is big because Democrats know they can often get positive polling responses from broad questions about handouts and making everything "free," but when the ugly specifics get out, public opinion can turn against them rapidly. That's why they don't like standalone bills, such as, say, a bill on amnesty for illegals. Things like that get slipped into behemoth bills on the logic that the public will be so focused on those "free" Obamaphones or similar that they won't notice.
Well, the public has noticed this one — a sneaky scheme to empower the IRS to become Big Brother and snoop on little guys' bank accounts

Why should the Democrats care - it’s not like they have to worry about elections any more.
VOTE DEMOCRATS OUT !!!
They just wanna control everybody’s lives.
VOTE,THEM OUT !!!
YES !!
Maria Bartiromo made a fool of CA Dem Rep Ro Khanna yesterday. Her facial expressions to his answers were those of incredulity...lol
Living on Soc Sec.
NO savings account
NO personal pension account
Pay bills once a month & leave about $20 in bank account.
Some bills I pay are over $600 ==
Property taxes
Property insurance
Vehicle repairs....
Not much to find & TAX in my life...and there are many people in this valley who have less than I have.
$600.00 is the W9/1099 limit. Coincidence?
And I will add, I’d feel the same way if it was $60,000.
Been there done that
And the other half
All of it when Brandon was selected.
69% are against this plan.
I’m betting that is the same percentage of the vote that President Trump actually got, before the cheating happened.
I’m betting that if 100 ACTUAL, REAL human beings, legally allowed to vote were sent into a voting precinct that would be the number of votes that President Trump would receive.
And I will add, I’d feel the same way if it was $60,000.
Which hints at how I feel about $10,000 reporting and the concept of structuring.
And on a different but similar subject, it should never be a dollar amount. It should be based on a certain income level based on the current value of the dollar. Perhaps some multiple of the Federal minimum wage. Perhaps at the federal hourly minimum wage times 10,000.
But that would be seen by me only as a compromise on my part. They have no business looking into how much money we put in or take out of our bank accounts unless they already have probable cause to use a search warrant against our account.
I can’t even imagine putting any of my savings into a savings account in a bank. I gave up that practice a couple of decades ago.
Is it not obvious that we have a uniporty with two different branches that are simply playing good cop bad cop with us?
In other words, they’re not feckless. They’re doing their part of the plan.
It’s all good until you become one of the wealthy with your $600 in quarters out of your loose change bucket.
Not to worry, they will just buy more. WITH OUR MONEY! IOW, they are taking OUR money to punish us.
FJB!
If they do get this passed....I wonder how long it will be until they change the wording to include every single transaction no matter how small?
Conservatives are notorious for not answering the phone for pollsters. I think, if the question is posed to the general public, that number would be much higher.
Let alone to retrieve it in any meaningful fashion.
I work on software that runs High Performance Computers. Our software enables "big data".
They don't really need a formal database to handle that data. I speculate that the data would be fed into a big data system in order to produce a model which would tell them where ALL the money is down to the last bank account and stock broker account.
They would know where all your money is deposited.
What difference does it make if it is “bombing” with the public?

Exactly, but the bigger evil is the Fed Reserve rush to push through digital currency ( cashless society). Yellen when questioned at her confirmation hearing was asked about digital cashless, she said there is no interest in it by them….flash forward to today - the Fed is calling for digital currency, See SB 3571 , a digital currency, which is now in committee…behind closed doors…of course, us Bible thumpers know what a cashless society will bring…a cashless society is prophetic, make no mistake,it will happen, but when is the question.
