“second-in-command of HMCS Calgary was relieved of his duties after disabling the smoke and heat detectors in the warship’s wardroom so he could smoke.”

Back in ‘94 I was on a supply ship (USS Seatle AOE3) in the Teddy Roosevelt battlegroup. The Captain of the ship had banned smoking and the sale of cigarettes onboard. The ship had signaled (via light) they wanted us to send 2 cartons of cigs for the Admiral who was embarked at the time!

It was sickening!!
