Halloween is still a few weeks away, but in New Jersey, the witch trial started early. It began on social media, our latter-day Salem: Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad took to Facebook to inform her followers that evil was afoot in the town of Maplewood.
“Yesterday,” wrote Muhammad,... “Tamar Herman, a teacher at Seth Boyden Elementary in Maplewood, NJ, forcibly removed the hijab of a second-grade student. The young student resisted, by trying to hold onto her hijab, but the teacher pulled the hijab off..."
Only, that likely isn’t at all what had happened: In a statement, Herman gave a perfectly plausible explanation. She had observed the student wearing a hooded sweatshirt, she said, and, in accordance with school policy, asked her to pull down the hood, as it was blocking her eyes. After seeing that the student was wearing the hood “in place of, rather than on top of, her usual hijab,” Herman “immediately rescinded that request.”
In a functioning society run by adults, such a dispute would have been resolved swiftly and calmly. But because this is Woke America, a nation that runs on empty outrage broadcast online, and so it didn’t take long for Herman to be found guilty by a jury of her virtual peers...

She’s a loyal American cut from the same cloth as fellow patriot Ilhan Omar.
These replacement Americans aren’t making NJ better; they are just importing young foreigners to keep the public school industry in business, and saddling the rest of us with the bill. No wonder so many Americans, AND THEIR EMPLOYERS, are fleeing those costs here.
These same unassimilated anti-Western agents wanted to wear their ninja masks for their license photos as well...
I was born in Orange, grew up in Hazlet, got married in West Keansburg, honeymooned at the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank. I left in the late 1970’s and never went back.
Similar tale...left and haven’t looked back.
NJ is where God sat while he made the pretty parts...
NJ was magic in its day, before it became a communist province.
The factories of Newark and Thomas Edison.
It still has so many great assets, Like Trumps golf course in Bedminster.
Muslims are flooding into the US. Expect many complaints about nothing.
East Orange, the town I lived in until after Kindergarten, used to be a nice commuter suburb for Newark and New York city. Then the demographics changed and now it's a terrible place where the Elementary School I went to is named after a local hero turned music superstar turned crack addict who drowned in a bathtub because she was too stoned to avoid it. I'm sure all of the kids want to grow up and be just like her.
Yes. I grew up in South Jersey,1960s to 1970s. Great food, the shore and the boardwalk, the history, the Pine Barrens and the sugar sand roads. I got out about 30 years ago.
You wouldn’t recognize it; you aren’t missing anything.
This state used to be a great place; I don’t see how it ever regains what it lost.
Yep; turn every area into a 3rd World SHIT HOLE. And all orchestrated by The Upper Class!!!!
