Highways still work?
Cry me a river. I mean, a lot of us have been inconvenienced. And this is the kind of push-back that needs to happen. There are only so many National Guard employees who can do only so many jobs.
Also, the airline employees at Southwest (for example) should be thanking them, and encouraging other AT controllers to do the same.

Yes, and its damn time that someone did.

The Founders would be disgusted at our national docility and passivity.

I'm in Phoenix, with family in Connecticut and Canada, so no flights mean more than a "little" inconvenience.

That said, THIS IS THE HILL TO DIE ON. There is something big going on here. Southwest and Delta would normally fold up pretty quickly, throwing money away for a "rule" that doesn't exist yet. They could easily buy time by setting it aside as they "negotiate" with Unions.

I hadn't thought of the air traffic controllers. Good for them! Biden is doing a good job of possibly coordinating the first nationwide "general strike" in the nation's history.

Highways still work and runways are OK if you use the long part.
