Although it was not possible to keep Chinese intelligence from knowing this, that fact should not have kept the U.S. from putting a “top secret” stamp on the efforts. If the Biden administration thinks publicizing the effort intimidates the CCP I am sure they are wrong.
I personally support Taiwan immensely and wish that they can remain independent, forevermore. However, regardless of that, my curiosity is wandering if Biden-Blinken is trying to provoke a war with China, to (a) try to change U.S. public perception of Biden as a “leader” and (b) use war as an excuse for the domestic political agendas they have, much as FDR did.
