He and other “AIDS experts” decided that it was not necessary for health departments to make a real effort to contact sexual partners of men who tested positive for HIV.
Fauci also mistakenly pointed his finger at children as being possibly involved in spreading HIV. He announced that children might be spreading it (after they acquired it by casual contact with family members— not by contact with blood and not by having sex.
Fauci panicked Americans, who came to fear children.
