Idaho Lt. governor issues decree; Not so fast, says governor

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — With Idaho Gov. Brad Little out of the state on Tuesday, Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin issued an executive order involving COVID-19 vaccines.

Oh no you don’t, said Little, who promised to rescind it in quick order.

The maneuvering of Idaho’s top leaders came while Little was in Texas meeting with nine other Republican governors over concerns on how President Joe Biden is handling border issues. McGeachin, a far-right Republican, is running for governor. In Idaho, the governor and lieutenant governor don’t run on the same ticket.

McGeachin’s executive order issued Tuesday afternoon seeks, among other things, to prevent employers from requiring their employees be vaccinated against COVID-19. Most mainstream Republicans prefer to stay out of the employee-employer relationship....

...Also on Tuesday, McGeachin was rebuffed by Major General Michael J. Garshak in a query about activating troops and sending them to the U.S.-Mexico border.

This I s smart politics for the Stupid Party as it’s mostly the Rats working-class and government employees base getting killed by ridiculous vaccine mandates. This Little Governor can stay out of state if he doesn’t want to be part of the solution (“step aside” as the Rats would say).

"McGeachin, a far-right Republican"

More editorializing in a news story. I am getting so sick of this crap.

Gee, I don't know, maybe to fully illustrate what a pretend Republican and an Establishment stooge Brad Little really is?

And since the Media, and the GOP Establish will never give the conservative in the race a fair shake, I say more power to her!

If this is one of the only ways to get her message out and create positive PR, Go for it Lt. Governor!

but it doesn’t accomplish anything and comes across as a stunt. If she’s going to run, then run and have at it, play hardball, but why toy with constituents (which is just going to create conflict on the street level) for the sake of publicity. jmo

You're right.

One man's opinion.

Does the Lt. Governor things these moves really hurt her? Each are rescinded as soon as the Governor returns. Almost looks immature on her part, like a little kid acting out, then the parent comes home and undoes the damage.

I have lunch at Janice’s restaurant in Idaho Falls on Fridays. The Celt. Good food. Good beer.

Mike Curb did the same to Jerry Brown in CA. Usually to much applause.

“what’s McGeachin’s point?”

She’s a woman, this behavior is typical when given that much power (men are far from perfect too, but still better overall).

“Far-right” is code for moderate center-right as opposed to leftist or RINO cuck.

what's McGeachin's point?

Idaho is being flooded by kalifornia communists. The handwriting is on the wall. Cf "The Colorado Project."

She's getting ahead of the curve. She'll be mainstream in a couple of years and right wing anything won't stand a chance.
