Rantz noted a portion of an email to parents from Principal Neil O'Brien outlining the policy: "Yes. Children should wear masks during lunch. They can lower it to take a bite or a drink, and raise it to chew, swallow, or talk. Our cafeteria has a fantastic airflow system and children are spaced apart AND when over a hundred of them are in one large room (the cafeteria and gym combined) we need to treat lunchtime as a dangerous time for all. Children need to continue to wear their masks during lunch."

I had to check the principal’s name. I knew a gal in HS that would take a bite and with her other hand would cover her face as she chewed! (Nope, not her.)
If there is still an America in 18 years, expect to see “Books” from this group of children, describing the craziness of going to school during the first two years of the pandemic. It will curl your hair!
Why don’t they just feed all the students at school with an IV?

Parents/guardians must remove their K-12 children from the Communist reeducation camps. Drive average daily attendance (ADA) to levels that collapses their funding and forces closures.
Instead, homeschool, pod school, carefully vetted private, charter, or parochial school. Remain involved and observant every day.

I feel sorry for those kids. Masks are nasty anyway, but moving them on and off your mouth in between bites is flat out unsanitary and just plain absurd. Whichever Democrat came up with that edict needs to be fired.
I work in a hospital. Lots of women do this. They use their hand or mask to cover their face while chewing.
Private school, or better yet, homeschool.
I pulled my teens out of public school last year and switched one to private and one to homeschooling.
The principal’s directives here are chilling!
