“and he couldn’t even beat Cruz.”
He almost beat Cruz..I think only a 20k vote difference which is miniscule in the state size of Texas
Do not take Beto lightly. He has a very good chance of being elected in Texas.
Our country is rapidly changing for the worst.
Republican Ted Cruz (incumbent) 4,260,553 50.89%
Democratic Robert Francis O’Rourke 4,045,632 48.33%
Libertarian Neal Dikeman 65,470 0.78%
fortunately the Losertarian didn’t play spoiler like they did in Georgia (handing the Senate to the Democrats)
“Do not take Beto lightly. He has a very good chance of being elected in Texas.”
Agree not to take him lightly, but Abbott won’t either. As to his chances, hopeless (with Abbott not taking him lightly) - Abbott cinched re-election once the Democrats came back from Spring Break.
Oh stop!! IDIOT BOY only came close to Cruz because it was a massive blue wave election and the national party poured a record amount of dollars and workers into his campain, and some on our side were still ticked at Cruz. NONE of those ideal conditions will exit for this village idiot the next time he runs.
215k vote difference, for a candidate (Cruz) who did little campaigning, while Beto had tons of money thrown that race. I expect to see record amounts of money spent on the Texas Governor's race. It will get ugly. The DEMs want this seat at all costs. And patriots will probably turtle up if it happens.
