One of our female in laws in her 70's just died from acute onset of Adult Leukemia.
Like millions of us she had not been able to see her family doctor until she received a steroid shot in her shoulder about 2 months ago. Her doctor for all of her adult life asked her how she was doing as he injected her shoulder.
She said beside being tired, she was short of breath and had chest pains.
The doctor ordered a panel of tests. He got a call from the lab director saying that his patient was in full blood adult leukemia and tell her to get to the hospital and be admitted.
She was admitted and was tried with several drugs, which made her worse.
Making a long story short, she went home and after a couple of weeks tried more therapies and had terrible responses.
They stopped all therapies and after a couple of weeks she went on hospice and died last weekend.
