So is Sears closing all their stores? What about JC Penny?
In my lifetime I have seen the demise of Sears, K-mart, Woolworths, J.C.Penny, Otasco, TG&Y and Wards.
With Walmart ascending.
However with the self-checkout counters at Walmart I have started shopping at more local owned stores that still have checkout personnel.
With self checkout, I have found you better not double scan an item or you will be charged double, have to pay for it, then take your receipt to the “Customer Service” to get a refund on the second item you did NOT buy.
Always check your receipt after self checkout at Walmart!
My wife has a J.C. Penney catalog from the late ‘70s. It’s fun to look at it every now and then. The toy section has Star Wars toys. Imagine how much THOSE are worth now.
