If it’s a proposal, are there hearings where citizens can voice their opposition? Does it require legislation, or is this something the Executive can simply do without oversight?

If we can’t stop it today—due to Nanzi’s and Chuck U’s lock on Congress, can we get Republicans to commit to overturning this when back in charge?

The Republicans will never be back in charge.

The Democrats do not need them anymore. And what voters want is mostly irrelevant. Democrats count the votes and the fix is in. If that "Election" show fails to convince enough people, then the Democrats also control the Police, the Courts, and the Military.
