Two (2) major boondoggles costing around $3 Trillion.
GW got us into them but didn’t know how to get us out of them. He turned them political before the wars were won. Kennedy was partially right — Iraq (and Afghanistan) were GW’s Vietnam.
Actually they do know the way out. Everyone does. They just choose not to. Nothing in it for them.
A. Does the country have the fortitude to do it…..a sizable chunk of this country would have been horrified if the US just bombed every standing structure in Afghanistan to rubble. Anyone stick their head, bomb it again
B. Can money be made from it…..no money to be made in a scorched earth policy of war.
