Let the proletariats pay the bills.
If they are going to increase the SALT then the need to cut taxes for ordinary folks by an equal or better percentage.
Even if a raise to the SALT deduction is ever enacted, it won’t stop the exodus from CA and NY.
Fitting that the movie SALT was filmed in the state capital of New York.
The DEMs are in control, so they may increase the SALT write-off, but ordinary folks will get tax increases.

Thats like the local drug dealer saying he will no longer support the drug trade unless he gets a bigger kickback.
This is all a desperate attempt by the Democrats to hold onto a bunch of suburban House districts in deep “blue” states that they won in 2018 but may lose in 2022.
My state income tax runs about $15k, property taxes 5k. The $10k cap has been expensive for me. Southeast Idaho. Putting a renter into my rental property nullified half of the property tax pain. When I retire, it won’t be an issue.

Solution: Move to a state with no income tax, and a law that limits the appraise value of property for tax purposes to, lets say, 3%, such as Florida.
Remember this when the Dems talk about people paying their “fair share” of taxes.
I don’t think there should be any SALT or mortgage interest deductions.
You bought it, you pay for it.
