Food Network disowns host over abortion stance: ‘We regret giving him a platform’
NY Post ^ | 9/6/2021 | Rob Bailey-Millado

Food Network is coming out swinging against one of its own after a viral Twitter war sparked by the US Supreme Court’s 5-4 vote to deny an emergency appeal in an attempt to block a Texas abortion bill that went into effect the same day.

Josh Denny — self-proclaimed “cancelled” comedian, podcaster and TV host — took to Twitter to respond to Wednesday’s news that effectively outlaws abortion in the state.

The 38-year-old former frontman of Food Network’s “Ginormous Food,” who describes himself as pro-life, posted a controversial thread celebrating the ban. He also used a slur while advising women to “calm down” — and said he disagreed that many women wouldn’t know they were pregnant within six weeks of conception.

The Twitterati backlash was swfit, as thousands of commenters loaded up his tweets with outrage, spurring Denny to respond: “Your freedom to be offended is commensurate to my freedom to offend you.”

Food Network took to social media to clarify its stance on the Philadelphia native’s controversial comedy — with a message that was “pinned” to its official Twitter page.

“For those asking: Our working relationship with Josh Denny ended years ago and we removed all episodes he hosted at that time,” the Food Network announced in the statement. “His views do not reflect our company values and we regret giving him a platform.”

Meanwhile, Denny declared hypocrisy on behalf of his former employers’ attempt to distance themselves from his signature brand of button-pushing humor.

“If you regret having ever given me a platform, how about you send me a check for the 10s of millions of dollars my show made for your network(s)?” he tweeted. “You knew my views and my style of comedy when you hired me. My views represent the beliefs of half of this country.”

I just pray I can stand proudly before God when my time comes.

Yummly? Although I’m afraid most foodie websites are “woke” these days due to the gay audience. Paula Dean got nixxed but Mario Batali survived the #metoo somehow...I don’t have cable any more so there’s that.

I’ll be standing humbly before God for any good that has been done through me is because of him.

I knew which side he was on, before I read it. If he were pro-abortion they would celebrate him.

We quit watching years ago after Ina Garten said at a book signing, after she was asked what she would serve Donald Trump for dinner, she said a subpoena and then laughed.

Sandra Lee was on the Food Network years ago. She was Andrew Cuomo’s girlfriend for years. The network also fawned over Obama and Michelle and they donate money to Planned Parenthood.

There seems to be a link between them and Hollywood celebrities too, not just politicians.

”Your freedom to be offended is commensurate to my freedom to offend you.”

How’s that for “equity?”

There's a good chance Josh Denny's views reflect a lot more than half of Food Newwork's readers...

If someone came out pro-homosexuality and was fired, the left would be outraged.

But they do the same thing and cannot see the hypocrisy because they are not interested in a society that is fair and equitable....they are interested in a society that complies with the dictates of the Politburo that now runs our nation and uses the Biden meat-puppet as their front man.

“His views do not reflect our company values and we regret giving him a platform.”

How odd to declare support for killing innocent babies as a “value”.

To take any stand opposing abortion today you can guarantee there’s well organized machinery in place to do more than just throw darts.

Definitely. Fifty years ago we should have gone all antifa on the monsters that legalized abortion.

Instead, we've given them ~fifty years to perfect their nefarious plan, including brainwashing impressionable school children to believe a woman's choice trumps an American's right to live.

“Food Network disowns host over abortion stance: ‘We regret giving him a platform’”

Doesn’t that imply they “owned” him? Isn’t it slavery “to own” someone? Wouldn’t that be racist?

Ina Garten twice denied granting a sick boy’s Make-a-a-Wish request to meet his favorite celebrity chef due to “previous commitments.” Bitch. Michael Symon heard about it and immediately set something up with the poor kid. He’s a good guy. I hiss whenever I see that fat face of hers.
