In Thailand it’s used to kick heroin addiction.
I got a huge container full of capsules of it in hopes it would help my sister get away from oxycontin for pain.
She was unimpressed, but I took several caps and it had an effect on me... but then I was not in serious pain like she was. It did have a bit of an intoxicating effect though.
Take too many and u get a tummy ache, at least I did.
i don;t see it listed on amazon- I’m pretty sure that’s where i got it several years ago- I didn’t care for it at all- seemed to make my tension worse, and made me just feel weird- like a caffeine buzz, but more nervous feeling- and also feeling like you were drugged-
IMO Kratom works better than any OTC pain killer and lasts longer which is why Big Pharma wants to outlaw it in the US.
And it’s been effective in treating heroin addiction, another reason Pharma doesn’t like it because, in their minds, people should be taking Suboxone for that.
It has analgesic effects. Can interact with opioid receptors in brain...so it can relieve pain. Has mild stimulatory effect. Has potential for abuse. There are many compounds in the peoduct...complex plant drug. If one can live without it...the less complexity in ones life would be helpful.

Sure have. The effects depend on the “color” of the kratom and the type you use. I have a small amount of Green kratom on hand. One capsule gives about 4 hours of energy with no crash. My wife uses an occasional red capsule to help with sleep after a tough gym session. There is also white kratom which gives more energy.
Taking too many, yes, will upset your stomach and you might even “reject” it back out. Like anything, it’s a good idea to use it in moderation, don’t mix with alcohol. It *can* be habit forming if you use it a LOT (multiple times a day, etc).
Just don’t expect the effects to blow your socks off. It can be subtle or strong depending on your body chemistry and amount taken. If you want to try it, start small. Of the vein colors, I heard: “White for flight, Red for Bed, Green for inbetween”.
Though, personally I find green increases my focus along with a little energy uptick when I need to stay up extra late, maybe for unexpected guests. White can get a little jittery if you’ve had caffeine too, but nowhere as bad as too much coffee.
Just do some of your own research on it. There are people that freak out over it, just take those with a grain of salt. I’ve used it very occasionally over a few years and never had any issues.
