White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has just put out this statement following Joe Biden's meeting with G7 leaders earlier today.
"The President conveyed that our mission in Kabul will end based on the achievement of our objectives," it begins.
Biden, she says, also "confirmed we are currently on pace to finish by August 31".
He provided world leaders with an "update on progress in evacuating Americans who want to come home, third-country nationals, and Afghans who were our allies during the war."
Psaki says the president made clear that "with each day of operations on the ground, we have added risk to our troops", including security threats from an Islamic State affiliate, and that finishing the mission by 31 August "depends on continued coordination with the Taliban, including continued access for evacuees to the airport".
She concludes that Biden has asked US diplomats and military generals to establish "contingency plans to adjust the timeline should that become necessary".

G7 members will do what they have to do to get their people and troops out.
Only Biden will leave Americans hostage.
So—it looks like any Americans left to be hostages or murdered in Kabul and the rest of Taliban-land were abandoned as part of the Bidet team’s objective.
They are admitting they are in favor of Americans being captured and killed by the Taliban.
That is what we thought—but it is surprising they would admit it!

What Biden actually said - “15 minutes to Wapner”
And we leave like a whipped dog with it’s tail between it’s legs thanks to BIDEN. When the Tailban glowered at him he rolled over on his back and peed all over himself!
“Yipe Yipe Yipe!”
They will be declared collateral damage and Biden and his minions will declare it a successful mission .

Still telling the story that they don’t know exact number of Americans because not every one registers.
I remember reading a short story by Kipling of two English women from Afghanistan who turned up in India.
They were English women, left behind in the disastrous British withdrawal in 1842.
Forced to marry Afghan warriors they were now so integrated in their society they later returned to Afghanistan after letting the British know they had been left behind.
Wonder how many will show up in the next 20 or 30 years who were left behind by BIDEN!
She is unusually stressed and verging on angry with Doocy just now.
It’s a somewhat disingenuous comment.
They’re only taking Americans because the Taliban won’t let any Afghanis leave.
He may have to circle back on that.
What is “our objectives”?

Of course he wants the August 31st deadline. Too much disturbing news coming out of Afghanistan. So -
Remove US troops and give Taliban control over the airport, with control over who comes in and who goes out;
Have the Taliban impose a news blackout (with only Taliban official reports coming out about the new Islamic Paradise and no disturbing reports from witnesses on the ground);
Hope for a shift in the news media away from Afghanistan and more focus on Biden’s domestic agenda for the new US paradise.
I’ve seen her snarky, or indignant; but this is the first time I’ve seen her seeming almost scared.
