Also: As many people who watch Law and Order have caught on, “second-degree murder” in New York is first-degree murder anywhere else. The first degree is reserved for political murder, such as assassinations and the murder of LEOs and judges. Goes back to when NYS allowed the death penalty in limited, special circumstances where the rule of law itself would be under attack.
Wow. Just wow. Cuomo said he “made mistakes” and spoke of the power of redemption. Mungo, however, never admitted he did anything wrong... even though he was convicted of two separate double murders.
