WASHINGTON — White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday scolded a journalist who asked her about Americans “stranded” in Afghanistan — insisting it is “irresponsible” to use that term despite numerous reports of Americans being unable to board flights out.
Biden administration officials say they don’t know how many US citizens remain in the country following last week’s Taliban takeover, but some are alerting news outlets that they cannot reach Kabul’s airport to be evacuated

Sorry, but I agree with Jan. It’s the middle of summer and a great time to be enjoying the beautiful scenery and climbing the huge mountains there. Why else would 10,000 Americans not want to come home?

So they don’t have any idea how many Americans are working in foreign countries or who they are? They’re apparently more interested in knowing who obeyed the lockdowns and coming vaccine mandates or who entered the Capitol on January 6th. What a badly run govt we’re paying for!

Come September 1, Psaki will say that any Americans still in Afghanistan didn't "want to return home."
Even though they were trapped behind enemy lines and afraid to make their way to the airport, they will be deemed to have wanted to stay.
