Peggy Noonan built her reputation writing for Reagan. That was at least 35 yrs ago. She hasn’t been right since.
Nevertheless, it is remarkable that she has been able to spin a career out of a 35 yrs (and counting) losing streak.
I've wondered exactly the same about Bill Kristol and Max Boot. Kristol had a failed magazine which practically no one read, he's written a few books that no one buys, he gives speeches that no one attends - yet he's constantly appearing on TV and is asked his opinion. He's got to be paid and put forward by the CIA or some such organization.
“Peggy Noonan built her reputation writing for Reagan.”
And his hand written notes show that he did most of the heavy lifting through decades of deep thinking and wrestling with the issues. Somehow he was getting elected before Peggy “wrote” for him.
It's a bit like me claiming I made my rep by writing for WFB. I might have done some research and made some notes on a piece of paper, but the master is the master.
Peggy Noonan...The Belle of East Rutherford NJ.
Why? Elitist like her make careers out of it because no one challenges their stupidity. Same with Bill Krystal, Charles Kraughthammer, Robert Riech and Paul Krugman.
