Fed-up tenants of the Queensbridge Houses sued the New York City Housing Authority on Tuesday, citing hazardous conditions in the nation’s largest public housing complex and what they describe as illegal harassment.

Pamela Wheeler, 72, and Marilyn Keller, 58, are among 11 plaintiffs named in two lawsuits — one representing residents of the complex’s northern section, the other representing its southern section — filed in Queens Housing Court.

Lefties want all of us live in high rise public housing. I have watched YouTube videos on NYCHA. People have lived there for 40 years! Buildings are so bad.

Over the course of 40 years, they could not figure out how to get out of public housing?

Looking at the destroyed bathroom plumbing picture, it looks like vandalism and intentional damage, not neglect.

Cockroaches & vermin follow poor housekeeping habits.

I have lived rural for over 28 years of my adult life & 12 years of my younger life.

NEVER have had a single cockroach.

Mice RARELY-—and found their entrance point & shut it down.

IF you watch “HOARDERS” on TV-—You will see the bad housekeeping habits WRIT LARGE.

I cannot watch more than a few minutes at a time...it is beyond disgusting. Family members too timid to take steps to stop it when it is smaller problem are just as guilty as the mentally ill person doing the hoarding, IMO.

"It's awful and it is not getting any better!"

"May I ask who you voted for in the last election?"

"Why, Bill De Blasio, of course! I always vote Democratic. Why do you ask?"

Mold, lead, flooding are results of inadequate maintenance by landlords, but the roaches and other vermin are due to the living habits of the tenants. A clean kitchen and properly secured garbage area don’t attract vermin.
