More Americans blame former President George W. Bush for America's failure in Afghanistan than any other president that succeeded him, according to a new Insider poll.

Around four-in-10 respondents said Bush is most responsible for the war's outcome — the Taliban regained power despite the US's nearly 20-years of involvement there — ranking him ahead of former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump as well as current commander-in-chief Joe Biden.

Insider surveyed 1,105 respondents from August 16-17 through SurveyMonkey Audience. Respondents were asked to rank nine entities in order of how responsible each were for the outcome of the War in Afghanistan. Here is the ranking, based on the percentage of people who placed each entity in their top three:

Bush started it, Obama continued it, Trump tried to end it, and Biden just screwed the pooch completely.

I can’t say that’s entirely wrong, but blame Biden the Usurper. Even though he’s just an empty suit, he needs to be brought down. Pray for his downfall.

“Bush started it, Obama continued it, Trump tried to end it, and Biden just screwed the pooch completely.”

All true. If GWB had gone in, done the job, and left, it would have been a real accomplishment. Since he was convinced to do some nation building, it’s fair to give him the biggest part of the blame. But there is lots to go around.

Good synopsis. Trump would have done a better job if Cheney hadnt got in the way.

I know with certainty he would have left Bagram open to get people out.

Sounds good, until you realize that Harris is what we get when that happens.

Bush decided to nation build instead of just hitting them hard for harboring Bin Laden. It started out very successfully with the Horse Soldiers, but they moved in instead......and stayed.

Fine, we switch to praying for her downfall and ... uh oh. Then it's Pelosi.

Yikes we have problems.

Of course Dubya is responsible. And that is one of the reasons I left the R party about 16 years ago. But Biden’s handlers* are the ones that really screwed the pooch.

*Biden himself is not who did this. He is “their” puppet. We really need to find out who “they’ are and put the blame where it belongs. And it looks like “they” have put out the word to throw Joe and Kamala under the bus.

Fixed for accuracy.

*************

But..but...how could the DC elites make money if we left so quickly? They couldn’t squeeze many profits out of such a short engagement.

IMHO, on 9/12/01, we should have started a bombing campaign that would have made Curtis LeMay blush, and wrapped it up by Christmas that year.

The only presence we should have remaining there in 2021 is the lingering legend of the great terror from the sky, told by crippled, deaf elders to their grandchildren as a cautionary tale.

Liz is far from finished. She and her daddy are big time influencers in the GOP. People like them run the party.
