If you believe there was ever a scenario where as soon as the final American troops pulled out of AFG and the Taliban didn’t break their agreement, then I have a bridge to sell you. It would not matter who was sitting in the White House at the time. Once we left, the Taliban would take brutal control back. It was always going to end this way. So now Republicans can use it for political gain because there is a buffoon as President. Afghanistan is now a political issue, and Republicans have a chance to use it to win the midterms. Let’s see how they do.
Parts of peace agreements in any war are usually broken by both sides for as long as I can remember. And I have lived a long time. Read up on the Israeli/Palestinian peace accords going back decades.
That is not the issue. The issue in Afghanistan was to carry out a withdrawal in a safe,orderly manner while leaving behind a government from all sides.
Its not about Dementia Joe and his Press Secretary both taking a “vacation “ as soon as the sh*t hit the fan, and hiding under their beds in fetal position after engineering an utter disaster.

America has fought plenty of wars, and even in Vietnam, we did not leave thousands of Americans in the hands of victorious genocidal terrorists.
There was nothing written in stone about this disaster that is unfolding, until Dementia Joe took over.

Well I can say a few things about that. We were never gonna win the war because we allowed the Taliban to hide out in Pakistan. I do not know if we could have ever pulled off going into Pakistan territory and killing them, but it is an academic point. That was not ever gonna happen. So we were destined either to lose/pullout or stay indefinitely.
Trump’s idea of a gradual pull out draws Taliban partisans back into Afghan Territory where they can be killed, when they give us the excuse. If they are smart, they let us go and we get out clean, embassy intact etc. but if they cannot control themselves, the more likely outcome, we get a chance to kill them bigly enough to get out clean. How is this not a good plan?
You are right that it is pure folly to think the Taliban does not take back control. I don’t know who would be saying that other than the stupid Rinos and the MSM, but Trump could indeed kill them enough to get out of there clean. Might even get Pakistan to help you.
Today’s Army from Biden on down is a woke Democrat organization that deserves our scorn. We should expect no less of them. My question is why do we pin this on Biden personally? Should we not find out who is in reality behind this folly?
You cannot lose a war and also control its outcome.
