KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The Taliban declared an “amnesty” across Afghanistan and urged women to join their government Tuesday, seeking to convince a wary population that they have changed...
...Overnight, flight-tracking data showed a U.S. military plane taking off for Qatar, home to the U.S. military Central Command's forward headquarters. A British military cargo plane also was flying to Kabul after taking off from Dubai. Other military aircraft remained in the air in the region.
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul, now operating from the airport, urged Americans to register online for evacuations but not come to the airport before being contacted.
The German Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, said a first German military transport plane has landed in Kabul, but it could only take seven people on board before it had to depart again due to continued chaos at the airport.
A special military flight with some 120 Indian officials separately landed in the western state of Gujarat after taking off from Kabul’s main airport on Tuesday, the Press Trust of India and state TV reported. Another flight made it off the ground Monday as well.
Sweden’s Foreign Minister Ann Linde wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that the staff from the Swedish Embassy in Kabul had returned to Sweden. Japanese diplomats evacuated, and Spain sent military planes to pull people out as well....

Otoh, if the Afghan women and especially those in Kabul, put their minds to it, they could pretty much beat the Taliban into floor paste - they vastly outnumber them, and their men aren[t going to fight.
Maybe there is a amnesty for the ugly ones with the pretty young girls are killing families to take them so I don’t know I don’t think they’ve changed much

In my humble opinion, as soon as the Americans are totally out and incapable of returning, the Taliban will revert to their old laws of 20 years ago, perhaps even more harsh.
that’s when you get creative - find out where the girls have been draagged off to, sneak in at night and cut the rapists throat. Do about 500 of them in one night. Expect the men to show up looking all macho and growling - surround them with a thousand women with knives and metal pots and beat the living hell out of them. Then go hunting them. There are 50K taliban, maybe 70K and not all of them are in Kabul. Women have the advantage.
We ARE talking about bearded men with burning eyes. Might be a little bit of taqiyya going on here. Being just a tad cautious before venturing into many of these towns where the remaining females figure they have nothing to lose.
Might as well try to subdue a pack of feral cats.

My prayer is for the Americans especially woman, left behind by Biden. In their wildest dreams, they couldn’t imagine that they would be in this situation.

The Taliban leader they have appointed president at the moment is one of the more lenient ones (he was released by Trump) but the problem is that their real leaders include the five Taliban released from GItmo by Obama in exchange for the deserter and turncoat Bowe Bergdahl.
They maintained their leadership while in prison, never renounced violence or the program of the Taliban, and their release was greatly opposed by the Pentagon.
The fear was that they would return to Afghanistan, reassemble their groups, and go back to their old ways - but even more effectively because of the knowledge of the US they had picked up in prison. And that’s exactly what happened.
Obama and Biden (who was a big supporter of their release and exchange for the traitor Bergdahl) completely ignored the appeals of the Pentagon.
The female news reporters are as good as dead..........if they are lucky
Translation: Come forward and identify yourself so we know who to shoot later.
So, can Hillary and Kamala join the government over there now?
