“I suppose we will have to give refuge to all the Afghan people that fought with us???”

1. Only if we ever want to have allies in any other country where U.S. forces intervene. Who would EVER trust us enough to be an interpreter or guide, or provide us with food or other services?

2. It’s too late for 90% of them. Only a lucky few already at Kabul Int’l Airport will ever make it out. The rest are stranded around the country, and the Taliban will torture and execute many of them.

The Taliban resurgence is clear proof that the unwillingness to kill is a losing proposition

War is won by killing.

The Taliban were allowed to live.

They won

If European law and pacifist refusal to kill prevails, the world is lost

They laid down their weapons but the knew right where they left them, it took seconds for them to pick them back up.

To: RockyTx; eyedigress

I have known lots of civilians that did a tour in Afghanistan. And eyedigress is correct, they are they to provide a specialty service that was requested by the US and major multinational companies.

Yes, they made a small chunk of change along the way, but hazardous duty tends to pay well.

Now, if we want to complain that the companies making billions off the US government, the contracting officers and their political leadership are at fault then we have a story.

But it is one that will never see the light of CNN etc.

Do you think the Shadow President, Barak Obama, gives a shit about Afghanistan falling to the Taliban?

That militant Muslim is probably overjoyed.

As long as ValJar has any part in any US administration, she will bring in enough Muslims to ensure that there are weapons for the Taliban to use.

And to trade with the Chinese for more.

The map you posted reminds me of when I was a geology student at a school of mines, we were always told to never accept a job in any country that ends in “stan”
