They need to keep their noses out of it. It is not neutral as they claim they are.

I’ve got that same question.
If I have t-cell test results that say I have antibodies, is that sufficient for me to get in to that establishment?
I will never use Yelp. It is a stupid name which is the sound a dog makes when it is kicked. I don’t see how it relates to food in any way.
So.......your vaccinated you still have to wear a mask and you will need booster shots for the new variants coming your way yet if you weren’t vaxxed at all you are a pariah and leper a diseased human who will get everyone sick. places you need to avoid thanks to yelp
“Why we care?!”
Here is an analogy to explain it better. Say you have a restaurant billboard up on the freeway right next to your nearest restaurant competitors billboard. Giving an honest and equal option of which to choose based on the attractiveness and wording of the billboards themselves (reviews). Then the BILLBOARD company who sells the billboard space slaps an additional sign up under yours that says “Don’t go here, they have bugs” but not your competitors.
Should the billboard company have full right to destroy your business like that if they like? Should you have the right to sue the billboard company if it does?
This is exactly what Yelp is doing here with total immunity from legal repercussions for it’s actions.
Is Yelp still demanding money from businesses to remove bad reviews?
There have been many fads in the USA. Hula hoops, pet rocks, cabbage patch dolls, CB radio, goldfish, phone booths, Michael Jackson, ice water, and now this. A fad is an insane hysteria that expands because it is promoted by more and more people who have no idea why they are promoting it except that everyone else is promoting it.
It’s constant insane hysteria over the bug. Rationality is now gone. It’s follow the crowd, which has no idea where it’s going.
Right on the money, well said. “Trending” is rarely a harmless thing anymore.
“And so we’re proactively looking out for any hateful, harmful content on these businesses.”
Narcissis. They fell in.
