If you are outside the US - particularly a non us citizen - and keep your crypto in cold storage, there is not much that can happen.

ahh. well if true, that is why bitcoin isn’t going to be the panacea against the fed/banks/globalist ruling class that many here crowed about.
it’s granted with totalitarians that they will use any legitimate or illegitimate authority (power and coercion) to make you “choose” to comply. globalist crony capitalists will support them in the theft, since they are part of the same ruling class. the only financial safety we have is to boycott or slow our using their so called “services to help us (because anything they “serve” us actually serves them),” or use or find clever ways to legally use or deploy strategies that turn their own schemes against them.
There has been some talk about doing that. But nothing serious...yet.
Not sure about the yet. They are trying to sneak through some change to “protect your IRA” by only allowing the purchase of government vehicles that pay a fixed return like a few percent in government script also known as fed notes.

They won’t seize them outright. They will engineer another crash, which will halve the value of many 401Ks. Under the umbrella of “protection,” the government will convert the cash value of 401Ks into treasury securities, which will be managed by the geniuses at the SSA.

"Seized" is the wrong word. Fair value will be exchanged for 401(k) assets. The feds could sieze every 401k and savings account and the sheep would baaaa in celebration. “Oh it’s so much better we won’t have to worry about cash or paying our bills anymore.” “Thank our lord and savior Biden for providing our every need.”
Nearly 2 years of lock downs and the sheep are as compliant as ever. And if these lockdowns have shown anything it has shown the vast majority of people welcome every bit of government control introduced. After all, it’s an “emergency.”
