The government does this sort of thing routinely when they need to dispose of evidence of official wrongdoing. In the past they have rushed executions, destroyed crime scenes where police malfeasance led to wrongful death, destroyed evidence, on and on. Despicable but not new.

I was hoping for some legal Freepers to maybe tell us whats legal or not. I personally found the conspiracy theory that she wasnt killed at all or was part of all the play acting more believable than an immediate cremation of the evidence. Same thing when my Mom passed last year. She had left no instructions, so at least 3 of her 4 children had to provide notary statements giving consent or the undertaker in Georgia would not cremate.
