I coached dozens of BB teams and I have it is true-basketball in the US has deteriorated into a game of individual play and egos-that’s how they got beat
long gone are the players from the Magic Johnson and Larry Bird era when passing, assist,rebounds and defense were valued-it is trickling all the way down to high school, mix in the woke and good bye
The three-point shot killed basketball. Anyone can be a decent three-point shooter with practice. It takes a lot more skill to needle a pass inside for a dunk or easy layup.
