Arkansas Democratic lawmakers are urging their GOP counterparts to end the state’s ban on mask mandates, The Associated Press reported on Thursday.
In a letter to Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), Democratic lawmakers asked the governor to call for a special legislative session on the issue of the mask mandate ban.
The lawmakers mentioned how the state’s healthcare workers are struggling with the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, adding that there’s no need to "pile on."

“Cases” are not deaths or hospitalizations. A guy could go to a doctor to get a pre-employment test and find out he has COVID, although he has no symptoms at all. That is counted as a “case.”
SOMETHING is driving this new campaign to ratchet up the fear by trying to re-scare us with stories we were reading 18 months ago, with just a couple of embellishments.
They’re Democrats, so what else could we expect from them but to want to take away some freedoms.

Our Governor will side with them. He’s a lame duck Bush republican. I am convinced that either his family has been threatened with death if doesn’t get the state vaccinated - or - he stands to gain an incredible amount of money for hitting some percentage of vaccinations.
Asa will bow down to the democrats on this if he gets a chance. He’s been clutching his ankles for many months and I don’t think he’s going to stop before he’s replaced.
If you ever figure out what’s driving it - please let me know. I’ve ran out of logical reasons for any of this.
The rats continue to drive this because when the bug finally does die, they can credit Biden with finding the solution and condemn Trump for promoting a fake cure.
We will have another 14 months of this and then there will be a cure which the rats will jump on. Funny, that’s about 8 weeks from election day.
It’s almost August. I think we’re seeing a lot of posturing for when this thing comes into its active season, here.
I, personally, am starting to think that absolutely nothing we are doing is substantively having any effect. I think Texas and Florida have already proved that the sky did not fall, as advertised, when they unmasked. Now we need people willing to keep the masks off.
If Arkansas Republicans are dumb enough to listen to the leftists we need good people in Arkansas to vote them out in the 2022 primaries.
Remember, if it is a lawyer or it went to an Ivy League college just vote NO.

Well, there is one thing for sure. This is all the Democrats have got. Once they discovered Trump Derangement pretty much wasn’t working anymore, they had to find something to get people’s minds off our questionable dementia-addled “President.” So I guess another round of COVID fear was in order.
I still get greeted in AR by signs on every door that say “If you’re vaccinated you don’t need a mask” but “We ask those who are without a vaccination to wear a mask”
Screw you.
At this point in the game I will give NO SIGN that I am not getting the vaccine.
I’m not running a bumper sticker, a mask or anything. They are actually taking names and making lists and I can operate and do what I need to do far easier without being on a list.

I observed a significant increase in masking in Tulsa OK yesterday while at COSTCO so I wonder if the group you desire even exist. The Fauci Faction and the attendant propaganda purveyors have burrowed deep into a lot of people’s psyche, it seems.
Yes and No. The current RINO Governor Asa Hutchinson went to the religious and conservative Bob Jones University.
Actually, I don’t even care if the people wear masks, if they want to be masked. I just want real world results without a mask mandate, and I frankly don’t want little children forced into masks.
BTW, how is the air in Tulsa? The Oregon fires have me wanting to wear a mask outside, here in Idaho.
