Edward Snowden: "The coming week's stories about the global hacking of phones identical to the one in your pocket, by for-profit companies, make it clear that export controls have failed as a means to regulate this industry.
Only a comprehensive moratorium on sales can remove the profit motive."

Awesome, for the most part they’d film the ceiling in my home or garage.
They’d be laughing their asses off on the texts I get and the few I send.

For my next phone, I've been considering an open source linux-based privacy phone. Pine and Librem seem to be two of the more popular brands.
And a signal-blocking "privacy case" for my phone. There are several brands, including Privacy Case.

Dear fellow Jews, why did you create this? Why do you create AMMO for the rest of the world to hate you and ME?

‘Zero-click’ spyware is the holy-grail. If these are accurate reports - and it should be noted they come from reputable researchers - and a company has perfected inserting spyware without any using prompting, that’s a big deal.
It wasn’t that long ago that even 1st world spy agencies needed either physical access to the phone to insert their requisite spyware or some kind of successful phishing attack to insert the spyware. Now all they have to do is send you a self-deleting text to defeat end-to-end encryption. As I said, that’s a big deal.

I’ve been getting several texts lately asking “Can I call you?”. Anybody know anything about these messages? I have not answered any of them.

Pegasus..has the capability to infect billions of phones running either iOS or Android operating systems...done in such a way that allows the attacker to obtain so-called root privileges, or administrative privileges, on the device..the software exploits undiscovered vulnerabilities
