equally poor and miserable (except for the leaders of course *wink wink*
Socialism works great at making everyone equally poor and miserable and making all infrastructure equally decrepid

That’s probably true.
In capitalist countries some people are poor.
In socialist countries everyone is poor.

So if your socialist nirvana is such an example of “equality,” why are you not emigrating there?

(Even) the Atlantic (
Black Lives Matter Misses the Point About Cuba) states that racism and inequality is much the reality in Cuba, while those of any race have a far better chance of advancement here, yet often at the cost of their own soul, esp. in wokemerica.

The AOC argument seems to be:
Why should there be freedom in Cuber?
The main benefit of Freedom is the Freedom to choose Marxist Socialism.
Once Marxist Socialism is chosen, one is living in a Utopia where there is no need for freedom to choose something that will obviously be worse. [Marxist Socialism is the pinnacle of human organization.]

This should tell you all you need to know about CRT. At the beginning of the 20th century Cuba and Argentina were in a rivalry with the United States for the second wealthiest nation after Britain. Argentina toyed with Fascism and Communism and quickly squandered their wealth. Cuba was the shining star of the Spanish Empire and then of Latin America. Then came Castro and that was it for a once thriving nation.
