Just paint new lines on the road and drop some of those concrete center barriers in place to block the hole. Couple hours of work.

I worked in the sign business for years in FL and know of a guy that took off down the road with the boom to his crane still up in the air. Took out some power lines before he realized. Hot weather and marijuana don’t mix.

That’s why there are limits on coverage.

That’s a surprisingly common error - there’s lots of videos of that happening on Youtube.

Using at least two cranes. the end can be lifted slightly and then the bridge pulled back into the original position and lowered into the original position.

I am shocked this did not crumble or just collapse.
Looks pretty good FWIW. Of course, integrity probably has been compromised.

Just get a come-along. Winch it back. Patch it up. Be as good as new. /redneck engineering
Redneck engineering? Hardly.
Where's the duct tape and bailing wire?

The man is right and something on that order will be the fix.
The steel rests on the concrete abutments and can be lifted and then a come along or other winch can slowly bring it back into place. The bridge doesn’t appear to be damaged. The damage will be to the concrete below and little or any damage is a real possibility

That doesn’t look like six feet of offset to me, unless that guy at the other end of the bridge is about 12 feet tall.
To: texas booster
Aw....just call in the heavy tow guys and pull it back into alignment.

This same thing happened in my hometown where a dump truck with the cargo bed still in the up position ran into, and brought down, one of those pedestrian crossing bridges. No one was hurt but they had to get a new bridge.

If no concrete damage, then reset the bridge and patch the surface.
Then put a load limit on it.
Because we all know how well drivers respect the rules ...

I imagine a commercial policy would be required by law to have much higher limits than that.

You are correct and I am not sure what their limit is. However, a car driver could have been at fault for the accident and it would have been on their policy. There was a minor fender bender in Atlanta between a car and a gas truck (Car’s fault) under an underpass which caused a fire and damaged a bridge extensively.
