That should go on every FBI agents tombstone. I am a drone who just followed orders, refused to think and refused to consider letting right and wrong get in the way of following orders.

They do catch fire and no conspiracy is needed.

FAA finally takes action on fuel inerting
https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/aviation-international-news/2011-01-27/faa-finally-takes-action-fuel-inerting

Excerpt: For those who doubt that a center fuel tank could explode again, at least two such explosions have occurred both before and after TWA 800. Two that I am familiar with involved Boeing aircraft and both, fortunately, occurred on the ground. The first occurred before TWA 800, in May 1990; in that accident a Boeing 737 with 120 passengers on board had just pushed back from the gate at Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport in the Philippines when an explosion tore through the center fuel tank. Although eight people died, it is certain that all aboard would have been killed if the explosion had not occurred on the ground. The aircraft was destroyed.

The second instance occurred in May 2006 and involved a Boeing 727 freighter on the ground in Bangalore, India. The left wing fuel tank exploded while the aircraft was on the ground. None of the crew was injured but the aircraft was destroyed. (While all three aircraft accidents I am familiar with involved Boeing aircraft, the same potential for explosion exists in other aircraft, including Airbus aircraft.)

Boeing has agreed to pay $12 million for failing to meet a deadline to submit service instructions that would enable airlines to reduce the risk of fuel tank explosions on hundreds of planes, among other violations, the Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday.

I remember when during the investigation they actually found chemicals that were consistent with an explosive device.

The reason given was that plane was used as a training environment for bomb detecting K9’s. Just seemed so far fetched to me.

No funeral or wake information on the first page of references.

I believed he lied about TWA800....maybe there was a good reason to lie, as in the Navy sent a missle up by mistake OR that the boat seen speeding away was full of terrorists.....

imagine carrying that lie around with you your whole life..

IIRC, Stephanopoulus and Kerry said things that indicated the plane was shot down.

RIP agent Kallstrom. He was not our enemy. Contrary to the blanket guilt often thrown over the whole FBI, there are good Americans who work in that agency. I hope they persevere and do what they can to offset the damage being done by the political sellouts of those in their midst who are betraying the trust of the American citizens who pay their salaries.

And you think every sailor aboard the theoretical ship kept their mouths shut?

Is it possible that only a subset of the sailors knew about a missile? For example, if a sailor was in the engine room, would they know a missile had been fired?

That, I don’t know. I was on three different submarines during my time in the navy, not a surface ship. You can tell when a torpedo is launched anywhere on a 688 boat, but I have no idea about how much racket a rocket engine makes on a surface ship when launching a missile.

However, it’s implausible that hundreds of sailors would join a criminal conspiracy to cover up shooting down an airliner. I was in the navy at that exact time. I sure as hell wouldn’t have kept my mouth shut, and neither would any of my buddies on the boat.

Plus you would have to start asking how are missiles launched from a ship. This isn’t something I know about as I was one of the guys in the engine room. I don’t think they just launch them and let them find their own targets.

So basically a surface ship wandered into one of the busiest air spaces on the planet, purposely targeted an airliner, shot a live warhead at it, downed it, had every single sailor (including the disgruntled ones) go along with a cover up, and then both the FBI and NTSB were unable or unwilling to figure out how the airplane was destroyed.

Jack cashill has the best theory about the events.
He accounts for Navy silence, eyewitness testimony, & radar images. He makes the most sense in his work titled: “FIRST STRIKE”.

There were very plain threats beforehand.

A sailor directly involved in shooting a warhead would have a strong incentive to keep quiet about it. I agree that the rest of the crew would be unlikely to keep quiet, assuming they knew, particularly as it is now 25 years since then.

The Normandy and three subs were in the immediate vicinity at the time.

We have hundreds of witnesses of varying reliability saying missile.

We have Stephanopoulus and Kerry saying the plane was shot down.

In a coincidence paralleling Epstein’s demise, “Family members were told that all three satellites were malfunctioning on July 17.”
https://www.cashill.com/archive/twa800/10th_anny_10of10.htm

Navy and fuel tank both seem unlikely, but something happened. FBI, CIA and NTSB behavior seem suspicious.

El Al had received ‘intelligence’ that their aircraft was targeted so they canceled the take off. But another aircraft took off in its place, flight 800. Story was spiked immediately and memory holed.

Interestingly, I found a series of articles from 2013 written by one of the founding members of the flight800.org group that compiled all of the forensic data on flight TWA800. The author, Michael N. Hull, wrote a four-part series summarizing the compiled data for his local Patch online newspaper (New City, NY), which mentions the El Al connection, among other things.

Patch Series on flight TWA 800:

The Downing of TWA 800 - Overview and Introduction

The Downing of TWA 800 - Part 2 - Major Meyer Speaks Out

The Downing of TWA 800 - Part 3 - The Eyewitnesses

The Downing of TWA 800 - Part 4 - The Tale of the Tapes

The USS Normandy was too far away (about double an SM-2’s range) and submarines don’t have anti-aircraft missiles.
