The story says “69” is the year of the moon landing and “pwn” is gamer-speak for “you’re owned” (your defeated”) and that pwn has made it into the dictionary. I think pwnd u is “I owned you.” I don’t see how that’s offensive. “69” - well, that can be - but surely they can’t ban every license plate with 69 on it.

What’s so offensive about ‘69? Perhaps the Woke crowd is offended because it was the year Nixon became president and rallied the Silent Majority against the Nattering Nabobs of Negativism.
