“Gosha” on May 6th was fatally wounded. Her legs had masking tape around them, large portions of their furs were removed, and they were shot 11 times with a BB gun, before being left to die under a car.

Gosha's pronouns were evidently "her," "their," and "they."

Confusing!

I think “their” refers to the legs of the cat.

But the use of an s to make the word “fur” more plural than it already is, suggests to me that English may not be the author’s native language.
