I have sympathy for their family’s but bottom line, these people died because they did not heed multiple warnings and refused to pony up the 110K per owner to make the NECESSARY repairs.
Their ignore and it will go away attitude cost them their lives.
Well, if a tragedy means a moratorium on happiness and fun, then Florida needs to shut down Disney World, close night clubs, close the beaches, especially the ones within feet of the building collapse and stop cruise ships. As well as any other form of fun and entertainment. And Florida needs to ban or postpone all 4th of July celebrations. Those are so insensitive to the folks who are hurting. And disrespectful to the dead who have yet to be recovered.
If DeSantis demands closure of those things, then I will go along with postponing the rally. But if those are OK to keep enjoying, then a rally is likewise OK to enjoy. Trump rallies are a celebration of what makes America great. They are a joining of thousands of kind, loving folks who gather to be happy and have fun. To celebrate. our great America.

As a Floridian this is drama created by the media. No matter what happens my opinion of Trump and DeSantis will remain unchanged as a result of this matter. I’m equally sure it will not effect Trump’s and DeSantis’s relationship either...

If I died in a building collapse, I would not expect the world to grind to a stop for any length of time. DeSantis is trying to appear thoughtful and caring as any politician would.
