It would also be nice to see some sort of CAP on Property Taxes after your kids graduate and no longer attend.
Or, someone like me that paid Property Taxes on a place for 25 years, and never had ONE KID in the school system there.
Or parents that home school!
The counter-argument is that ‘Society’ needs educated young-un’s, but I’m seeing little return on investment in our youth these days. Wisconsin graduation rates and test scores are abysmal! We used to be one of the best-educated states in the Nation, proven by our ‘brain drain’ of people leaving for good jobs in other states. Our graduates are no longer in demand. :(
