Will the last Walgreens in SF remember to turn out the lights?

That will be a while. After closing 17 stores, Walgreens still has 53 locations running in San Francisco. Of course, some areas of the city of San Francisco are pretty nice and relatively peaceful. They aren’t all off Mission or Market or Embarcadero or at Fisherman’s Wharf. There are plenty in residential neighborhoods where the criminals commonly aren’t active. There are shoplifters everywhere, but many SF Walgreens aren’t heavily victimized by shoplifting, like the 17 closed since 2019.

More will close, I am sure, as the criminals spread out a little bit.
