To answer this question as yourself another question - "Would it be legal if they did this just to LGBTQ people, or to minorities?".

There are no federal protections of political speech. Yes, the federal gov't cannot clamp down on political speech....that is in the US Constitution. But companies, banks, universities and internet providers can clamp down on political speech.

Minorities and LGBTQ are legally protected entities.
