The first leg to be completed - from Modesto to Corcoran will allow illegals to easily get from field to field and visit their loved ones in the prison in Corcoran.

That's the main problem right there. It is of no use to the majority of Californians. Not only that, the "high-speed" rail trains will impede transit corridors in the SF Bay Area and LA regions because they share the same right-of-way as regular commuter and freight trains.

In SF, the money already earmarked for the high-speed train station was diverted to build a park atop the Transbay terminal building (which had budget shortfalls); the train station is currently a big hole in the ground and will require many billions of dollars to create. This whole project is a disaster that will never be completed and will continue to suck money from taxpayers for decades.

Now be fair. Bakersfield and Merced are real places. Not many people live in them and very few seem to want to travel between them, but they are somewhere.
