One more thing.

I met a man back in the mid 70's who was a convicted felon. He had been to prison - no jail but prison - for several armed robberies. One of the wildest guys I ever met.

Today, he is alive and in his late 60's/early 70's. He turned his life around and is working an honest job. Has been doing that for years now. He is also friends with numerous police officers and a hugh supporter of the police.

He was never involved with drugs. Just an armed robber. But when I knew him, he was basically a gangster. It can happen, but I think it is rare.

I think that’s true. I don’t know if there was any hope of escape for my guys from Gary, though. They came from an entirely different world.
