It’s crazy how all of a sudden criminals are being hailed as some sort of hero...
Unbelievable!
Yet his family is about to get paid... BIG TIME... Far more than this thug would have likely made in a lifetime of honest work... (which he apparently had no intentions of doing).
I was on a murder trial last summer. One guy shot his friend to pieces with an AK-47 in Gary, Indiana. We never quite figured out why he did it, but he did it. Two witnesses said he just came from the rear of the apartment and opened fire on the victim who was sitting on a couch in the living room playing video games. The shooter and the victim were meeting to talk about an armed robbery they were planning.
After the trial, I did some research on the shooter, the victim and their families. The shooter and victim had been in various trouble for years, and had served no time. The shooter was wanted for shooting and wounding another man during a drug deal gone awry. And, speaking of drugs, the shooter and victim both made their living as dealers. Both the shooter and the victim had several members of their families who had died because of gang violence. The shooter had a brother who died in a shootout with federal drug enforcement agents.
I came to the conclusion that is was only a matter of time before a life of crime caught up with these two. One is in prison for life. The other is in his grave.
And that’s pretty much Daunte Wright’s story too.
Sorry, that’s not allowed to be true.
That would explain why he resisted the arrest but doesn't justify shooting him. Officer Potter is still on the hook for that.
