Joe Biden Condemns Senators in the Ku Klux Klan — Ignoring Democrat Leadership

President Joe Biden condemned US Senators who were open members of the Ku Klux Klan during a speech in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, but did not mention the role of the Democrat party in the racist organization.

Citing a book from historian Jon Meacham, Biden said at least five or seven members of the United States Senate were open members of the KKK in the 1920s. (Meacham’s book, The Soul of America actually cites 16 members of the United States Senate who belonged to the KKK)

The vast majority of Klan members at the time were overwhelmingly white Democrat politicians in the South.

“The flames from those burning crosses torched every region of the country,” Biden said.

Biden expressed solidarity with African-Americans, noting the Klan was also anti-Catholic. He said:

One of the reasons why it was founded, was because of guys like me who are Catholic.

Biden said the hatred fueled by the Klan was now represented in America’s institutions, warning “That hate became embedded systematically and systemically in our laws and our culture.”

The president did not mention he delivered a eulogy for former Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) who was once an “exalted cyclops” in the KKK.

Biden decried Americans who remained silent about racist sins from the past.

“We do ourselves no favors by pretending none of this ever happened, or doesn’t impact us today, because it does impact us today,” he said. “We can’t just choose to learn what we want to know and not what we should know.”

Biden: Like my old buddy Robert Byrd. But he apologized so it’s OK. Now back to those horrible white supremicists…

Didn’t Biden speak at Byrd’s funeral? I wonder how WV’s impoverished blacks felt about that.

Democrats have discovered an ignorant electorate will support them in their war with their own history.

Democrats are both the villain and hero in their story. The misinformed and ignorant voters cheer them on as they denounce their own party members and rally to abolish their own shadows in history.

It’s an amazing spectacle to behold and a testament to the power of the media and and indoctrinated society.

President Joe Biden condemned US Senators who were open members of the Ku Klux Klan during a speech in Tulsa....

Like Robert Byrd, former Grand Beagle (er... Kleagel)? Or unrepentant segregationist William Fulbright, proclaimed by Bill Clinton as his mentor? Or Dem turned Dixiecrat Strom Thurmond? Or Dem George Wallace - segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever?

There are 330 million Americans and of these, approximately 240 million are Caucasian... exactly how many of these 240 million are members of the KKK?

The KKK is a dying, obsolete organization. It’s only the media and men like Joe Biden who are exaggerating their influence.

“The flames from those burning crosses torched every region of the country,” Biden said.

It is when this senile demented idiot tries to go all sanctimonious that he is at his worst.

Where’s he been for the last 47 years?....the current narrative of the Tulsa ‘massacre’ is BS...36 people were killed, 26 blacks and 10 whites, not 100s or 1000s...bad things have happened throughout history and will continue...fanning the flames of racial divisions and hatred is not helpful...

This is the first decade in a hundred years that did not have a Democrat klansman in the Senate.

Yup. The left created the clan, funded it, turned a blind eye to the crimes co mjtted by the Klan- etc. Now the left are embracing the NEW KKK (ie blm), who are committing the very same acts of domestic terrorism that the white klan did years ago.

We don’t see the white KKK in the news committing acts of violence and murder anymore. What we DO see in the news is the NEW KKK, blm, committing these acts of domestic terrorism, and the left are embracing them, fundi g them, enabling them, turning a blind eye to their crimes, and even celebrating them by putting their flag up on Capitol buildings and overseas apparently.

BLM is the NEW KKK

> Yes, Robert Byrd (D-WV) was an “exalted cyclops” in the KKK. I looked it up. An exalted cyclops wasn’t just a local Klan leader. He was THE local Klan leader.

But maybe that’s where Biden drew the line. If you had the rank of exalted cyclops or below, maybe you were okay with Joe.

Wasn’t Robert Byrd a good friend and mentor to Joe? And doesn’t Joe have a history of endorsing racist bills from these members?
