It's a fine photo of President Trump. I'm sure the photographer was a liberal, he did the shoot for Time, but the portrait is excellent.

Trump will get a a painted portrait:

To be fair, the painted presidential portraits are privately commissioned, usually by supporters of the individual former President. Then it takes time to hire the artist, arrange the sitting, then paint the portrait.

I suspect that Mr. Trump wishes to emulate his predecessor, Grover Cleveland and have two non consecutive terms. So getting a portrait done is on his 2028 “to do” list, not 2021.
