During my 25 year career at a very well known hospital I had lots and lots of contact with people with Downs Syndrome. That was because out hospital had an agreement with several nearby state facilities to provide care for their residents.

I found these people to be amazing sweet and gentle people...even when they were sick. To this day I feel deep sympathy for them and believe that a kind, prosperous, nation like ours has a duty to care for them and protect them as best we can.

The picture submitted did cause me to LOL!

What a cutie!

I’ve seen/met many DS babies/children/adults and they *do* always seem to be so joyful!

People With Down Syndrome Have Come A Long Way, And They’re Celebrating

If Progressives have their way, Down Syndrome and other babies they consider less than acceptible will be aborted or euthanized. This is precisely what the Nazi (Socialist) government did. They called their program T4, describing it as a public health program. Do we understand how wicked people in government through history have named evil programs and policies with terms that sound democratic and beneficial.

Child euthanasia in Nazi Germany "Child Euthanasia was the name given to the organised murder of severely mentally and physically handicapped children and young people up to 16 years old during the Nazi era in over 30 so-called special children's wards. At least 5,000 children were victims of this programme, which was a precursor to the subsequent murder of children in the concentration camps." - Wiki

You see few Down Syndrome people today. Most are aborted in the womb. Very sad

My first cousin is Downs. He also has bi-polar disorder. He’s 50 years old and as far as I know in good health. He and his sisters live across the country. His parents are dead. He worked for Wal-Mart long enough to have a small pension. He has a disability payment and his parents had money and set up a trust for him so he’s fine. He lives in a group home and drives his own car. I checked in on him occasionally during the shutdown. He’s fine. He has someone who comes in and cooks for him and checks on him two or three times a week. His sisters are very loving towards him. He has a great life. His parents never considered putting him in a home and went to special classes to learn how to work with him. I remember that he didn’t crawl so they would get down on hands and knees and work to make him crawl, several times a day. I’m sure that they did lots of other things. He is so loved and he’s having a great life.

1 in 700 live births involves a baby with a Down syndrome diagnosis

I'd be curious of the numbers, percentage wise, between 1960 and 2021 because so many liberals kill them off via abortion.
