I am a skeptic about the lady and this is troublesome for me as I originally supported her...heck, she rides a horse.
If she had signed that bill, it would have opened the state to unrestricted lawfare. She made the right decision to send it back.
The DOJ or whomever will just dump them at the local airport or bus station and leave them.

Kabuki theater and Noem isn’t the only one guilty of it. There is nothing the states can do to keep the feds from dumping these interlopers where they want to dump them. They are literally going to put them on buses, trains and planes and send them on their way to arrive at the destination of their choice...all paid for by the US taxpayer.
The only one that might have some leverage is Abbot in TX because these shelters may still have to comply with state child safety laws. So, he can probably make life uncomfortable for the feds...a bit. But, refusing these illegals is a wholly Quixotic endeavor. It’s not going to happen. States are powerless to remove the illegals once they’re present.
