A mammoth cargo ship that blocked the Suez Canal last month is being held in the waterway as authorities pursue a $916 million compensation claim against its owner, according to the vessel’s insurer.
The UK Club, an insurer for the Ever Given, said in a statement Tuesday that the ship's Japanese owners received a claim from the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), which runs the canal, on April 7. The claim includes $300 million for "loss of reputation."
The company said a "generous offer" was made to the SCA to settle their claim on Monday, without elaborating on the sum.

Still nothing about the unusual path taken by the ship prior to its entry to the canal.
Blame the Canal supplied pilot.
Sounds fair to me.
Their owners owe the Suez canal authority a hefty sum for damages done to the canal and for loss of revenue.
And no, it isn’t the Egyptian pilot’s fault.
And will change the word settle to scuttle next Monday.

Too bad they forgot the part where Navy SEALs helo boarded and found dead and alive kids in some of the containers, weapons and a tactical nuke.

Evergreen is a Chinese company out of Taiwan not Japanese. They have subsidiaries in the UK and Italy.

I’m glad somebody understands that. I live in Maryland and ships that route through the Chesapeake Bay are boarded by pilots who take over the responsibility for navigating the ships through the bay. I don’t know for sure but the situation at the Suez Canal is very likely the same.

chartered and operated by container transportation and
shipping company Evergreen Marine, headquartered in
Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan
Do you have any information to support NBCs statement that the Ever Given is Japanese owned other than their announcement of it? That’s what I have, multiple reports on alternative media that the ship was boarded, searched and about 1200 dead kids found in containers and 1300 or so alive. At this point in history I’m totally going with alternative media.
Look at alternative media it is reported repeatedly on multiple sites. Right now that is the only place where you can find a modicum of what is really happening. Everything in the MSM is a lie or a distortion.

Reuters contacted Evergreen Line HQ in Taipei about the claim (www.evergreen-line.com/), which said: “We can categorically deny that any nuclear material or devices were being carried by Ever Given on its voyage that has recently been unfortunately delayed by the incident in the Suez Canal.”
Meanwhile, Nukewatch UK, a network that monitors nuclear weapon convoys across Britain (www.nukewatch.org.uk/about-us/), told Reuters: “The idea that the Ever Given was loaded with nuclear weapons is nonsense. If the suggestion is that some kind of terrorist organisation is using Evergreen to move a nuclear bomb and other munitions, that also seems highly unlikely given how unpredictable container transport now proves to be.”
At this point in history I’m totally going with alternative media.

Consider ALL US media to be up to the same standards AS SEEN ON TV on the Project Veritas show! They are all spewing biased made-up stuff or half-truths to push agendas. Alt media, sources outside the US(we can still see them for now), etc are the only way to go.

The buck always stops with the person in command. The Transit Pilot is the absolute authority on board a ship conducting special maneuvering, reliant upon the Pilot’s intimate knowledge of conditions.
Not a word has been spoken of any equipment malfunction, mutiny of the crew, or hostile actions against the vessel. In some manner, the Pilot was incompetent, incapacitated, or a doppelgänger for a licensed navigation pilot.
Remember that Aeroflot Flight 593 crash in which forensics of the cockpit voice recorder revealed that the pilot’s teenage son was actually flying the aircraft with the pilot off the flight deck?
Well of course Evergreen is going to deny it. What did you think they would do? The comment by Nuke watch UK is a joke. That’s the EU the heart of the Global cabal.
