The European Commission may impose sanctions on US President Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Possible sanctions include a ban on entry and transit through the territory of the European Union, as well as the freezing of all funds and economic resources that belong to them, are held or controlled in the EU. This was reported by Ukrainian News with reference to EU Reporter.
According to EU Reporter, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin filed a complaint with the European Commission over the violation of his rights due to illegal dismissal in 2016. Shokin states that he has exhausted all available legal mechanisms in Ukraine and is therefore forced to turn to EU officials.
"Shokin filed a complaint against Kyiv with the European Court of Human Rights in 2017, a case which is still ongoing. In this most recent attempt to seek redress, Shokin argues that his dismissal violated a number of his rights, including his right to work and his right to a fair trial, and that the case violated Ukraine’s right to self-determination as well," the message reads.
EU Reporter also cites the words of Joe Biden, during an open lecture at the Council on Foreign Relations, where he personally admitted that he made direct pressure on the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and demanded the dismissal of Viktor Shokin in exchange for $ 1 billion in loan guarantees.
"I said: I am leaving in six hours, and if your prosecutor general is not dismissed by that time, you will not receive money. And this son of a bitch was fired," said in 2018 year the current head of the White House.
As we reported earlier, US President Joe Biden called his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
The two leaders discussed a number of regional and global issues, including the growing military presence near the border of Ukraine.
"President Biden emphasized the United States’ unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The President voiced our concerns over the sudden Russian military build-up in occupied Crimea and on Ukraine’s borders, and called on Russia to de-escalate tensions", reads the message.
Ooof
Well whaddya know...
Hey EU, why shit on your greatest supporter?
I wouldn’t hold my breath.....................
Because they are going to side with Russia as trade relations improve over the coming months.
LOL
The Keystone presidency
Spot on take. Demensia will now give away the store.
Is Biden even healthy enough to travel to the EU?
This makes no sense. Does the author think Ukraine is in the EU?
EU sanctions against Sleepy, Creepy, Dementia Joe will never happen. Just because the fired Ukraine prosecutor filed charges in the EU court doesn’t mean that the EU court is going to even come close to sanctioning Joe.
Guess the check hasn’t cleared yet
Eu does a lot of ‘talk’ without action.
