Those of us who saw it immediately and knew why they were doing it tried to raise hell about it, but crickets from elected “leaders.” The msm reason for doing it was, “We’re going to put the party out of power in blue...” but that didn’t last 2 elections after.
It was deliberate, to negate the Red Commie! label. Better dead than red, etc. What a coup. And our side was soooo lame, as usual. I honestly thought Trump knew the scam, and would insist they go back to blue for pubs, or at least pick a new color. Orange would have been perfect, and hilarious!
Parties should pick their own color, period. Blue Pubbies is historic, and Red Dems.
